Welcome back to our Mystery Quilt 2021! Thank you for joining me in this Mystery Quilt-along, can you believe we are already halfway through? I feel so lucky to be quilting alongside each of you in these times. Our community is so strong and this week I am thankful for you!

For Block 6, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Perfect Union”) 2 blue fabrics 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B

We will be making 16 total Block 6’s: 8 of Block A and 8 of Block B


The cutting directions are as listed below: 32 – blue HSTs cut from 16 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 32 – light HSTs cut from 16 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 32 – blue HSTs cut from 16 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block B) 32 – light HSTs cut from 16 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block B)


Edyta’s Important Note: If you are planning to use Triangle Paper for this block, which I will be using in our video today, then you will need to cut two 10″ x 10″ squares of each of the four fabric colors.


Our sixth blocks will be positioned as shown above in our Mystery Quilt 2021! Notice the position of the blue fabric in the corners.


The Rainbow Option:


For Block 6, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Linen Texture” or your favorite collection) 1 green fabric 1 orange fabric 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B

We will be making 16 total Block 6’s: 8 of Block A and 8 of Block B


The cutting directions are as listed below: 32 – green HSTs cut from 16 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 32 – light HSTs cut from 16 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 32 – orange HSTs cut from 16 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block B) 32 – light HSTs cut from 16 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block B)

The cutting directions are as listed below: 16 – light squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block A) 16 – light HSTs cut from 8 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 24 – blue HSTs cut from 12 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A and B) 8 – light squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block B) 8 – light HSTs cut from 4 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block B)


Our fifth blocks will be positioned as shown above in our Mystery Quilt 2021!

For Block 5, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Linen Texture” or your favorite collection) 1 green fabric 1 pink fabric 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B

We will be making 12 total Block 5’s: 8 of Block A and 4 of Block B


The cutting directions are as listed below: 16 – light squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block A) 16 – light HSTs cut from 8 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 16 – green HSTs cut from 8 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 8 – light squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block B) 8 – light HSTs cut from 4 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block B) 8 – pink HSTs cut from 4 squares 2-7/8″ (Color Option Block B)

Now position your blocks following the picture above.

Welcome to our Mystery Quilt 2021! I hope you’re having lots of fun working on these Mystery blocks with us.

It’s time to get started on Block 4!

For Block 4, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Perfect Union”) 2 blue fabrics 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B

We will be making 16 total Half-Square Triangles (HST) Block 4s: 8 of Block A and 8 of Block B


The cutting directions are as listed below: 8 – light HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 8 – blue HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 8 – light HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block B) 8 – blue HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block B)


Our fourth blocks will be positioned as shown above in our Mystery Quilt 2021! Notice the position of the blue fabric in the corners.


Please DO NOT start sewing blocks together at this time. We need to complete all blocks before sewing them into a quilt top. We are only laying them out on our design wall at this point.
