Welcome to our Mystery Quilt 2021! I hope you’re having lots of fun working on these Mystery blocks with us.

It’s time to get started on Block 4!

For Block 4, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Perfect Union”) 2 blue fabrics 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B

We will be making 16 total Half-Square Triangles (HST) Block 4s: 8 of Block A and 8 of Block B


The cutting directions are as listed below: 8 – light HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 8 – blue HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 8 – light HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block B) 8 – blue HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block B)


Our fourth blocks will be positioned as shown above in our Mystery Quilt 2021! Notice the position of the blue fabric in the corners.


Please DO NOT start sewing blocks together at this time. We need to complete all blocks before sewing them into a quilt top. We are only laying them out on our design wall at this point.


The Rainbow Option:


For Block 4, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Linen Texture” or your favorite collection) 1 blue fabric 1 red fabric 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B

We will be making 16 total Half-Square Triangles (HST) Block 4s: 8 of Block A and 8 of Block B

The cutting directions are as listed below: 8 – light HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 8 – blue HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block A) 8 – light HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block B) 8 – red HSTs cut from 4 squares 4-7/8″ (Color Option Block B)

Now position your blocks following the picture above.

Our Block 3 is such a little sweetie – you will love it!

For Block 3, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Perfect Union”) 3 blue fabrics 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B Block C

We will be making 12 total Block 3s: 4 of each – Block A, Block B, and Block C

The cutting directions are as listed below: 16 blue squares 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (Color Option Block A) 4 blue center squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block A) 32 light rectangles 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block A and B) 16 blue squares 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (Color Option Block B) 4 blue center squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block B) 16 blue squares 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (Color Option Block C) 4 blue center squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block C) 16 light rectangles 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block C)


Our third blocks will be positioned as shown above in our Mystery Quilt 2021!

The cutting directions are as listed below: 16 blue squares 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (Color Option Block A) 4 blue center squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block A) 32 light rectangles 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block A and B) 16 dark teal squares 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (Color Option Block B) 4 dark teal center squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block B) 16 yellow squares 1-1/2″ x 1-1/2″ (Color Option Block C) 4 yellow center squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block C) 16 light rectangles 1-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block C)

Now position your blocks following the picture above.

Welcome back to our Mystery Quilt 2021! We are off to such a good start, since you are now comfortable in making four-patches, I think you are ready for a double four-patch!

For Block 2, you will need: (choose the fabrics from “Perfect Union”) 2 blue fabrics 2 light fabrics

Block A Block B

We will be making 20 total Double Four-Patches: 16 of Block A and 4 of Block B


The cutting directions are as listed below: 32 light squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block A) 5 light strips 1-1/2″ x 20″ (Color Option Block A) 5 blue strips 1-1/2″ x 20″ (Color Option Block A) 8 light squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block B) 2 light strips 1-1/2″ x 20″ (Color Option Block B) 2 blue strips 1-1/2″ x 20″ (Color Option Block B)

The cutting directions are as listed below: 8 light squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block A) 2 light strips 1-1/2″ x 20″ (Color Option Block A) 2 blue strips 1-1/2″ x 20″ (Color Option Block A) 32 light squares 2-1/2″ x 2-1/2″ (Color Option Block B and C) 8 light strips 1-1/2″ x 20″ (Color Option Block B and C) 4 gold strips 1-1/2″ x 20″ (Color Option Block B) 4 orange strips 1-1/2″ x 20″ (Color Option Block C)

Now position your blocks following the picture above and take note of each fabric color in the corners.
