I am sew excited to share today's lesson with you! We are taking it back to basics with a Nine Patch - who's ready to perfect their patch?

If everyone could take their seats, we will begin our first lesson.

Day 1 - NINE PATCH - BLOCK 9

We have two color options to choose from:

ree

Valley Ranch - Twinkle Fabric Collection

ree

Valley Ranch Scrappy

Now join us in the classroom to

learn, practice, and try something new!

One of the first things I'd love to share with you is a lesson I learned a long time ago.

You don't always have to start your quilt project with the first block in the pattern!

You can open the pattern, browse through and pick something simple like a Nine Patch

to get you into the groove!

Watch our helpful video tutorial on this block for tips!

🍎 Helpful Classroom Supplies:

When I work on a project, I love to have the finished quilt picture in front of me

to inspire me and remind me what I have to look forward to.

Required Material: (Select 1 option)

FABRICS {We have Valley Ranch Fabric Kits or use your own fabric stash}

For detailed Fabric Requirements, please visit our website.

Quilt Size is 70½" x 70½"

We have two lesson plans (aka fabric kits) for you to choose from, my dear students! Choose whichever course fits you the best. I know you will succeed whichever path you go.

Lesson Plan 1

ree

This kit option is for the student that does not want to cut their blocks and only wants to focus on their stitching and block building techniques. This kit is amazing for the student looking for short, fun lessons when you don't have too much time to spare for yourself. This pre-cut fabric kit is made with our new Twinkle fabric collection! You can't help but sing, "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, How I wonder what you are" as you sew your pre-cut pieces together right out of the box!

Lesson Plan 2

ree

This kit is for the student that might have extra time on their hands, enjoys cutting, and wants to practice their rotary and ruler skills cutting each piece and building their blocks from scratch. This fabric kit is made with a curated selection from some of Laundry Basket Quilts favorite collections, a perfect way to open the door of creativity and even add some of your own scraps if you'd like!

And of course as always, you can use your own fabrics

and just join us for the lessons by purchasing the pattern.
